First real post, let's go! (and yes, that's a Bachelorette reference)
Let's start with the basics. If you haven't checked out my About Me, my name is Alyssa. I am all about deals & steals and tips & tricks.
Bargaining is listed at the top of my resume skills - this stems from my education and background in fashion. I know exactly what goes into producing clothing and other merchandise AND exactly how much products are marked up. So why pay more for something when you can pay less?
For this shoot, my entire outfit was under $60, including a non-photographed clutch. (A fun fact: I get nearly all my handbags from thrift stores. I love the vintage looks, not to mention quality is usually top-notch.) My white embroidered dress is from Forever 21's Contemporary Collection, and it was under $40. I got my bright red kitten heels from Payless for under $20.
Another fun fact: I never leave the house without winged eyeliner. Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner, to be exact (beauty post to come!). And along with that, I paired this look with a bold, matte red lip.
A few things I love about this outfit:
Affordability - like I said, my entire outfit was under $60!
Versatility - this outfit seamlessly transitioned from a day exploring Brooklyn to afternoon drinks at an outdoor bar to a date night in Queens.
Details - the lace embroidery and cutouts of this dress give the illusion it's worth much more than what I paid for. But that can be our little secret.
For my fellow New Yorkers, these photos were shot in Brooklyn. By my wonderful boyfriend and my Google Pixel.
