It’s 2021, and I am here to tell you bridesmaids proposals are not overrated. There’s nothing like asking “Will you be my bridesmaid?” quite like a gift! Especially when you’re asking them to share in your wedding journey. Being part of a bridal party is no small feat—accepting this responsibility means dedicating time, energy, AND money. Let’s be real, that squad deserves something special.
For my bridal party, I knew for years who would be in my squad. These girls are truly my closest; I could not imagine marrying the love of my life without them standing beside me. And no doubt my ride-or-dies deserved presents.
First, I started with a budget. I did not stray, however, that wasn’t easy. I’d give these gals the world if I could.
Second came my theme. I made sure to incorporate elements of my wedding into these proposals, because you know I’m all about a cohesive plan. These gifts were rustic, embellished with twine & greenery, and gave a nod to my color scheme and venue.
I may or may not have gotten a few battle wounds putting these proposals together, but let me tell you, it.was.worth.it.
The wooden boxes I got off Etsy might have been my favorite part, because they came with clear cards imprinted with “WILL YOU BE MY BRIDESMAID/MAID OF HONOR?” This way my lovely ladies saw the surprise but could still see through to the individual pieces of my gift.
I began my boxes with personalized champagne flutes. Since this is a celebration! Another amazing Etsy find, these have the option to be filled with rosé gummies (which of course I also had to get). They came out beautifully, and I’m thinking I should probably get myself one…
To pair with those flutes: Rosé Sparkling Wine. Duh. I hit up my Drizly app and had some small bottles delivered.
I also wanted this set to have a self-care vibe. So I included satin scrunchies (that came in a 6 pack) and rose & collage face masks (pack of 5) from Amazon.
Topped it off with a little printed calendar of our wedding date circled in a heart ♡
Luckily I was able to ask these babes to be in my bride tribe all together at my engagement party. It was such a special moment, as you can tell by how hard we’re cheesin’. So ready to do this damn thing with them!
