I’m not kitten around, guys. If you’re a cat lover as I am, you have to visit a cat cafe. Lucky for us New Yorkers, there’s a few in the greatest city in the world.
[Hope you’re ready for an entire blog post of cat puns.]
Now I’m not sure if you’re fur-miliar with cat cafes, so allow me to introduce them. For my birthday, my boyfriend took me to Meow Parlour, located in the lower east side. I highly recommend making a reservation online first, because there are quite a few cat hogs that stay all day, taking up slots for new customers.
After paying $7 per half hour (don’t worry, you can stay as long as you want and pay for the difference at the end), you walk in and slip your shoes off. And then the cats are all within reach. Litter-ally.
You can order anything from coffee to tea to kitty-decorate treats - and the staff will bring them right to you so you don’t have to leave your fur-ball’s side. Most of the cats enjoy sleeping while you’re there, but they definitely welcome cuddles. There are also more curious and playful kitties, who will crawl right over your lap (and proceed to ignore you when you try to get their attention).
Meow I’ll tell you about the best part - ALL the cats are adoptable! They range in age, size, and breed so I’m sure you’ll find the purrfect furry friend. I basically fell in love with all of them. So there’s that.
Fur real, guys, add a cat cafe to your bucket list. They’re seriously paw-some.
